Transport Compliance Audit £750 +VAT
Pricing applies to our standard compliance audit service. Larger or more complex operations, multiple operating centres or regulator-directed audits requiring an expanded scope may require a tailored quotation.
Regulator-Required Compliance Audit
Traffic Commissioners may require an operator to obtain an independent compliance audit, for example as an undertaking or following regulatory concerns. We can discuss the required scope with you and produce a structured written report.
Independent Statement
Independent audits are undertaken subject to appropriate independence and conflict checks. Where Nationwide already provides ongoing compliance support to an operator, we will consider whether an independent audit can appropriately be undertaken.
Audit Before Public Inquiry or Regulatory Investigation
Where compliance concerns have already been identified, an independent audit can help establish the current position, identify corrective actions and provide evidence of steps being taken to improve compliance.
When Should You Arrange a Compliance Audit?
A compliance audit can be valuable at any stage of your operation, whether you have specific concerns or simply want reassurance that your systems and procedures are working as they should. It is particularly important before a DVSA investigation or Public Inquiry, following repeated vehicle defects, maintenance concerns, annual test failures or prohibitions, or where an audit has been requested by the Traffic Commissioner or Transport Regulation Unit.
You should also consider an audit following significant fleet growth, a change of Transport Manager, or when acquiring another transport business. Even where there are no immediate concerns, regular independent compliance audits provide an effective health check, helping to identify potential issues early and ensure your operation continues to meet its legal and Operator Licence obligations.
What You Receive
Following your compliance audit, you’ll receive a comprehensive written report providing a clear overview of each area reviewed. The report will highlight any compliance gaps, identify issues requiring immediate attention, and include supporting observations and evidence from the audit.
You’ll also receive practical recommendations and prioritised corrective actions, helping you understand exactly what needs to be addressed and in what order. A concise management summary brings the key findings together, giving you a clear picture of your current compliance position and the steps required to strengthen your operation.
